Juventus confirm Cristiano dealSerie B side Juventus have revealed that they had agreed a deal for Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo prior to him making his high profile switch to Manchester United.
The club Director at the time, Luciano Moggi, says a deal involving Ronaldo was already signed but was only binding if then Juve striker Marcelo Salas agreed to go in the opposite direction.
Moggi said: "Four years ago I had a deal for him in-place to take him to Juve,”
"The contracts with Sporting Lisbon had already been signed.
"However, unfortunately Marcelo Salas would not consider going to Portugal and the agreement collapsed."
