Spurs set to win race for hot-shot Bale

Reports are today suggesting that Tottenham will beat Manchester United and Arsenal to the prized signature of Southampton starlet Gareth Bale.

UK newspaper The Daily Telegraph suggested that the highly sort after fullback is likely to join the North London club this month although he would more than likely be loaned to back to the Saints for the remainder of the season.

Bale, 17, was thought to be keen on a move to Manchester United but was lured by the terms offered at Spurs.
