Spurs complete major coup

Tottenham Hotspur have edged out a host of major clubs including Manchester United to the signing of Southampton starlet Gareth Bale.

Bale,17, will go straight into the first team squad and will challenge Young-Pyo Lee for a spot in the starting line up at White Hart Lane.

Fierce rivals Arsenal were also believed to be interested in the player.
