Big Sam hails teamSam Allardyce has praised his team after they managed to overturn their recent form slump to beat Sheffield United on Saturday.
"It's a terrific result in the end, we made hard work of it by some poor finishing and of course some excellent goalkeeping," said Allardyce.
"So I was wondering whether it was going to be one of those days and we're going to get punished by the opposition breaking out.
"At least the 1-0 is a deserved one and I think the quality of the goal from Kevin Davies made sure that we won this game.
"We could have won it a little more comfortably but we made hard work of it.
"We needed to get back on track and here's the place we need to be winning our last four home games starting against Sheffield United."
He added: "It's seemed an awful long time, we were in the 40s at Christmas and it's now March,"
"I don't think we've been out of the top six all season and this obviously settles us down, keeps us in that all-important fifth spot."
