Smith: I'm delightedNewly appointed Rangers manager Walter Smith has admitted that the lure of returning to the club was too much to resist.
Smith, who had to leave his job as manager of the Scotland national team to take the Ibrox post, said: "I'm delighted obviously and it's one I never thought I would see again, but you never know in football,"
"Obviously there is a little bit of regret leaving the national team, but coming back to Rangers is something I felt I had to do.
"There is a disappointment as not many people get the opportunity to manage at national level and it's disappointing when you have to make that decision to leave."
