McLeish discusses Azzuri prospectsScotland manager Alex McLeish is hoping Euro 2008 rivals Italy will be feeling the pressure to perform when the two teams clash this weekend.
"The pressure is on Italy because they are behind in the group," said McLeish.
"Roberto Donadoni, I think, was half-smiling (when it was 1-1 in the Scotland Georgia match) before the goal and he went back a little disappointed that Scotland got three points.
"If that makes the Italians apprehensive, it's helpful for us.
"We know they've got quality players, they've played at a massive level, the Champions League, these guys year in, year out and they know it takes other things as well to win football matches.
"They are clever players and just as good at set-pieces, which has been a big feature of Champions League football."
He continued: "Things are going very well, the players are cock-a-hoop with the great victory at the weekend, albeit in the last minute.
"It was very tight and tense, but I was very proud of the players and the way they approached it."
