Redknapp thrilled with Tottenham dealPortsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has spoken of his delight to have signed Jermain Defoe from Tottenham.
He said: "He will be a great signing for us. He needs to play.
"Jermain is a top player. I signed him at West Ham when he was 15.
"He's too good not to play and I think he's a fantastic goal scorer. It will be great to have him here."
