Lippi: No Italy talksItalian World Cup winning manager Marcello Lippi has revealed that no Serie A clubs have contacted him regarding his availability.
Lippi said” “I haven’t had any offers from Italian sides, not even Milan,”
“I’ve received many proposals from overseas, both clubs and Federations such as Mexico. I didn’t accept them, not because I wanted to be rude, but I have no intention of working until next year.”
He said: “Up until April, when many of the clubs decide whether or not to change management, I won’t consider any job offer. The choice depends on quality of life, the project of the outfit and my rapport with the directors. I don’t necessarily have to join a team aiming for the Scudetto.”
On the historic World Cup campaign, he added: “Winning the World Cup was the greatest satisfaction of my career. It was the ultimate because the team and I made all Italians happy, from the youngest to the oldest.
“I had already decided to leave that post before the tournament and the FIGC knew. I would’ve gone earlier, but I’d earned our qualification and I wanted to experience it.”
