French club interested in Tottenham defender

Monaco are looking at the possibility of signing Tottenham defender Benoit Assou-Ekotto.

The left sided defender has only been at the club for one season but knows he faces a battle to see more game time since the arrival of starlet Gareth Bale.

The Principality club are reportedly looking to table a bid around the £1.5million mark.
