Former Juve captain returns

Didier Deschamps has officially been announced as the new coach of troubled Italian champions Juventus.

Deschamps who picked up three Italian titles, one Italian Cup, two Italian Super cups as well as a Champions League title during his playing career at Juve has previously announced his wish to one day return to The Old Lady.

A statement released on the official web site said: "Juventus confirm the signing of coach Didier Deschamps on a two-year contract, valid until 30 June, 2008."
