Spurs star: I rejected moveNewly signed Tottenham striker Giovani Dos Santos says he rejected moves to both Manchester United and Chelsea in order to sign for the club.
Dos Santos, 19, said: “My decision was purely sport.
"I wanted to play more and Tottenham gave me this opportunity.
“I also had good offers from Chelsea, Manchester United and Ajax but I loved Juande Ramos’ ideas.
"The coach has been key in this move. I spoke with him to know his intentions and I am very excited about this new adventure.
"Juande has said that next season could be very big for Tottenham and that was a big attraction for me."
He added: "I am going to do great things with the Spurs.
"I want to be the star of the Premier League next season.
"That is my objective and the reason I have left Barcelona for Tottenham.
"I believe that my style of play can be better in England than it is in Spain but my first challenge will be to adapt to the Premier League."
