North London rivals to battle for starlet

Tottenham Hotspur and bitter North London rivals Arsenal are set to do battle for the signature of talented French defender Benoit Assou-Ekotto.

The 22-year-old Lens player is another defender on Martin Jol’s shortlist along with Wayne Bridge who could be set for a move to White Hart Lane if Roberto Carlos arrives at Chelsea.
