Pompey veteran wants dealPortsmouth skipper Dejan Stefanovic has revealed his desire to remain at the club for the rest of career.
Stefanovic, 32, told the official Pompey website: "Since I joined, this club has slowly moved upwards and what we have now is a great team spirit and some great individual players," Stefanovic told the club website.
"When we win, we win together and it is the same when we lose and that says a lot about the spirit."
He added: "We have one of the best managers in football and I said when I first came here that one day I hoped to play for the club in Europe,"
"That is becoming a possibility and there is nothing more that I would like to do in those circumstances than stay here for the rest of my career."
"It was good to get back on the pitch last weekend because it was the longest time I had been out whilst at Pompey.
"Despite the fact that it was my first full game for a long period, I felt fine at the end of it.
"Now all I am looking to do is get some games under my belt. We have some very hard games coming up but we are all striving for as high a finish as possible and believe we can achieve it."
