Liverpool starlet likely to exitOn-loan Liverpool goalkeeper Scott Carson says he would be taking a ‘step back’ if he was to return to Merseyside to sit on the bench.
Carson, who has spent a full season on loan with Charlton, told the Daily Telegraph: "After playing a full season here, I don't really want to be going back to Liverpool and being forgotten again,"
"I'd be taking a step back,"
He added: "I've felt like a Charlton player from day one.
"Everyone helped me settle in straightaway. The last thing I want is to leave here with Charlton getting relegated."
"If I was to go back to Liverpool and play in a Champions League game next season I think I'd be a lot better off after what I've been through here.
"Hopefully I'd have the nerve to deal with it."
He added: "I've felt like a Charlton player from day one.
