Former Baggies striker discusses nightmare

Former Birmingham City, Wigan and West Brom striker Geoff Horsfield has talked of his relief to have moved away from Sheffield United.

Horsfield, 33, said: “People were wondering where I’d got to at United and I did too! I was in the wilderness.

“It’s been a nightmare. Neil Warnock didn’t like my playing or didn’t want me playing. It is a matter of opinion and I don’t begrudge him.”

Horsfield is currently on-loan at Leicester City from Sheffield United where he only three appearances since joining the club last year.
