Boro admit concernMiddlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate has expressed his concern regarding the contract of England defender Jonathan Woodgate.
Southgate is worried that the Real Madrid defender, who is currently on loan at the Riverside, is attracting interest from rival clubs.
He told the Guardian: "I can't stop people watching him and I can't put him away and lock him up until the summer,"
"I know that Jonathan is totally committed to what we're doing here and loving it.
"His pace, which allows us to hold a slightly higher defensive line, makes a big difference to us."
