Zambrotta could returnBarcelona full-back Gianluca Zambrotta has talked of his affection for his former club Juventus and refused to rule out a return to the Turin club.
“I will always hold Juve in my heart. Just think I’ve had a satellite installed so I can watch the Bianconeri’s games from my home in Barcelona. I saw the 4-2 victory over Bari,” said Zambrotta.
“It was a strange effect to see my former team-mates in Serie B. It would’ve been so much better if it had all ended differently, but my choice and those of the others who left must be respected. Only we really know what happened in those weeks. In any case, I am and always will be a Juventus fan.”
“Up until now, the phone has not rung for me. Everything in football is provisional, just look at what happened this summer with Calciopoli,”
“My experience in Spain has not been completely positive. I certainly wasn’t helped by a six-week injury lay-off, but now I have settled in and it’s my intention to stay until June and hopefully beyond.
“I wouldn’t like to leave a bad memory at any club, so it’s not in my nature to interrupt a mission halfway through. I want to win as much as possible with the prestigious Barca jersey. And then…we’ll see. Never say never.”
