The Tractorboys up for £6millionIpswich Town chairman David Sheepshanks last night slapped a £6million price tag on the Tractor Boys, who are £60m in debt.
Fed-up fans have called for Sheepshanks' head and staged demonstrations at Portman Road after a poor start to the season.
He said: "It would cost between £5m and £6m for someone to buy the majority of the club.
"But the board is also looking for security over its long-term future.
"If we could wave a magic wand and find the right type of investors then the board would move over very quickly.
"But we have a number of irons in the fire."
