LA looking at another English wingerIpswich Town flanker Darren Currie has revealed his excitement at the prospect of lining up next to David Beckham next season after arriving in Los Angeles to have a two-week trial with the LA Galaxy.
Currie told the official Ipswich Town website. "It's an exciting opportunity and I'm really looking forward to it,"
"This season has been a difficult one for me because for long periods I've not been playing. Jim's been great to me though, and he said he wouldn't stand in my way if I wanted to go over and see what's going on.
"It's a two-week trial and no more than that at this stage.
"I've always thought about the possibility of playing abroad and this is a great opportunity to see how football works somewhere else."
