British broadsheet, The Guardian says Pires, who has refused the offer of a one-year extension to his Highbury contract, which is due to expire next summer, has spoken to Gala, who are among several clubs courting the 31-year-old.
Pires is seriously considering the move, one that Arsenal are willing to sanction rather than lose him for nothing in 2006.
