Cottagers to start spendingFulham chairman Mohamed Al Fayed has confirmed that new manager Lawrie Sanchez will have a significant amount of transfer funds available this summer.
Al Fayed, 78, told the Guardian: "My passion for the club and my desire to succeed is as strong as ever, perhaps even stronger, now that we are so close to achieving our ambition of becoming an established top-10 Premiership side.
"The enormous sums of money and the considerable time and commitment invested over the last decade have laid the foundations for this.
"It is vital to continue on this path which is why I haven't hesitated in making significant funds available to Lawrie Sanchez.
"I want him to invest and build a team that can take us to further heights."
