Fiorentina admit Liverpool interest

Serie A club Fiorentina have admitted that they were interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Momo Sissoko during the off season.

Viola sporting director Pantaleo Corvino said: “In the past we were interested in Sissoko as he is an important player,”

“Then he renewed his contract with Liverpool for £1.7m a year and that was outside our budget.”
