Sam worried about Anelka move

Bolton manager Sam Allardyce has expressed concerns over the price tag needed to land former Arsenal, Liverpool and Real Madrid striker Nicolas Anelka from Fenerbahce.

"Nicolas is a fine player," said Allardyce.

"The only problem I have with a player of his quality is the price, which in the main is too great for a club like ours.

"Generally at this club we get a player like Nicolas when they are in their 30s, not in the prime of their career in their 20s.

"If it was possible, although financially I don't think it will be, it would be nice to consider it."
