Moyes confident of Euro performanceEverton manager David Moyes has backed his team to overcome their disappointing Merseyside derby and put in a strong performance in the UEFA Cup against Larissa this week.
He said: "It will make us stronger as we had to play 12 against nine at one point at the weekend.
"We have to move on and the players will benefit from the experience and become tougher mentally."
"I am really looking forward to the game (against Larissa). I was fortunate to play against Ajax and Juventus in the European Cup so the thrill is fantastic.
"Until you have been there and been in it, you do not realise what you are missing.
"As a manager it is completely different to when I was a player. The fact I am still talking about events 20 years ago shows just how much it meant to me.
"But of course I am excited about the UEFA Cup. I said to my staff before the Kharkiv game how good it was to there and how much we wanted it.
"Sometimes the atmosphere at the UEFA Cup is not the best.
"But we are well supported. Hopefully we will get a good crowd as we want to bring back those glory days to Everton."
