Argentine Apertura Round 7 Fixtures

Ricardo LaVolpe, the manager of Mexico at the last world cup, takes control of his first match as Boca coach this Sunday, as ‘Los Xeneizes’ welcome winless Godoy Cruz to the ‘Bombonera’.

The game of the week sees inform Independiente host high flying San Lorenzo, who have a few injury concerns going into the match. In other fixtures, River make the long journey north to Jujuy, Central entertain Diego Simeone’s faltering Estudiantes, Racing visit Arsenal and Argentinos will be wary of a Lanus side yet to be beaten on their travels. Julio Falcioni will introduce himself to the Colon faithful on Saturday, as the new coach pits his wits against Russo’s ever improving Velez Sarsfield while bottom club Quilmes will be hoping that a change of coach brings with it a change of fortune, as they begin a new era without Mario Gomez at home to Newell’s.
