West Ham looking to edge Spurs

West Ham United are set to beat Tottenham to the signing of Charlton striker Darren Bent.

Reports suggest that the Hammers have offered the Addicks a massive £17million for the England hit-man and will give him around £80,000 a week.

The wage structure offered has priced Tottenham out of a move.
