Addicks still waiting for Bent bidCharlton Athletic say no club other than West Ham have matched their valuation of striker Darren Bent.
Addicks chief executive Peter Varney said: "West Ham matched out valuation,"
"As a result of that, we gave them permission to talk to Darren but he declined to join them.
"No other club has matched our valuation and therefore, despite all the speculation in the press today, that remains the situation."
Tottenham are believed to be negotiating a possible player plus cash move for the player.
