Redknapp still interestedPortsmouth manager Harry Redknapp is hoping the club can agree terms with Benfica regarding a permanent move to the club for midfielder Manuel Fernandes.
"I'd like to think there is a deal to be done somewhere,” said Redknapp.
"If everybody sits down and sees a bit of sense, I don't see why a deal can't be thrashed out.
"The original figures - I don't know who agreed them, but it certainly wasn't me - they were too expensive and it's not a feasible deal for me at £12 million.
"He's a smashing player, I like him. He's got great potential and if the fee was right I'd say definitely take him."
