Kanu threatens clubPortsmouth hot-shot Kanu has told the club to offer him an extended deal or risk losing him in the upcoming transfer window.
He said: "I have only one year left and clubs will definitely come after you when they know you are almost out of contract.
"So it's not left for Kanu, it's down to Portsmouth to say 'yes, he has done enough for us' and to reward me with something. I hope it happens that way.
"I believe if they gave me a longer contract it would help. It would make me more settled. Right now I am not settled in the area.
"I am still living in North London and every day I drive down to Portsmouth. That is not good. It takes me two hours to get there and another two to get home. It is not easy.
"They have to show me they want me. I have shown my commitment.
"I give them 100 per cent every game and now I am playing even though I have a bad knee.
"I hope they recognise that commitment and reward me with something.
"I have a one-year contract and the window opens in January. Of course I'm scoring and teams have to come in and say what they want of me.
"I appreciate what Harry has done for me, I appreciate the fans and I want to stay. It's a good team. I want to stay for the season but it's not in my hands."
