Arsenal hero: We showedTogo striker Emmanuel Adebayor is confident his club Arsenal will push on following their impressive 1-0 over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
"It is very important to score my first goal of the season," said Adebayor.
"I just focused on my job and to have done it I am very happy for the team.
"We were looking forward to our first win. We are happy and the confidence is coming back. We showed we have a good team," he told Sky Sports.
Midfielder Cesc Fabregas added: "It is a really big win. We knew it would be difficult, they are a great team and confidence is very high.
"I have got to congratulate all the team. We played really fantastic and worked really hard.
"Now we just have to enjoy ourselves and do the same every week."
Manager Arsene Wenger said: "You can see we are a very strong side. I believe in this team and the win reinforces my belief.
"There is no transition (period). We want to win the championship. I said before the game we can and I will say again after the game, this team has a big potential.
"I strongly believe in the ability of my team."
