Wenger boosts crocked youngsterArsene Wenger has told Arsenal midfielder David Bentley that he does have a future at Highbury.
20 year-old Bently is currently on loan at Norwich but is injured with knee ligament damage and Wenger warned he would need to improve physically.
Wenger said: "My hopes for him are very high. He has the technical level, the mental approach, the personality and is very keen to work hard,
"For him it is down to how he has improved physically."
Bentley impressed for Nigel Worthington's side early in the season but his form dipped and the Canaries are currently bottom of the Premiership.
"He had a good start (to his loan spell), then a dip," Wenger told Arsenal's official website.
"That is always predictable with a young player. When he came back, to a very good level, unfortunately he got injured.
"That is why I think it is interesting for him to finish the season well.
"He has to show he can compete at a top level Premiership club. I know he is back in training and could be in contention for a place in the team soon."
