Villa midfielder eyes EuropeAston Villa new- boy Stilian Petrov is confident the club can reach the European placing in this season.
He said: "Like every team we will be pushing for Europe because that's where everyone wants to play - why not us? We've got the belief, the players with the ability, and we'll give it a shot,"
"The club has a great history having won the league seven times and the European Cup.
"I'm happy to be part of a new era. Martin will bring something the players and the fans will enjoy because his style is attacking football.
"The team has gelled and the players have more belief in themselves and are working hard for each other.
"Why can't we get in the top six? Everyone's got dreams and we'll all hope to stay fit and do our best."
He added: "Last season was hard for the players and the fans but all the players from last season are showing they have the character and the belief,"
