Vieri: I'm sufferingFormer Italian international Christian Vieri reflected on what might have been if he had not attained his latest injury which eliminated him as an option for the World Cup squad.
He said: "I'm gnawing in an incredible way because maybe I could have been there too,"
"I did everything to take part in this world championship.
"I left Italy to go to Monaco. There, things were going in a good way, I was scoring and then there has been this damned injury.
"I know that playing in a World Cup is one of the most beautiful things, but it's a part of life.
"I'm suffering seeing the Azzuri playing, but I'm happy for them."
