Veteran Veron thrilled with callFormer Manchester United, Lazio, Inter Milan and Chelsea midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron has expressed his excitement to have been recalled to the Argentinean national team.
The Estudiantes star said: "I have missed wearing the national shirt and being together with the squad,"
"To open doors to home-based players will make people love the team and the domestic league will have extra motivation because players know they can be in the squad.
"I want to play in the Copa America. Perhaps if we win it, some wounds can be healed.
"The World Cup (in South Africa 2010) is in my head, but there are three years left yet. I'm not 21, I'm turning 32 in March. I'm not too old, but not a teenager.
"I'd prefer to enjoy present times, but I hope the national team can prolong my career until I'm at least 40."
