United keeper attacks FergusonOutcast goalkeeper Ricardo has launched an astonishing attack on Sir Alex Ferguson and raged: "He destroyed me."
Ricardo, who has just been released by United insists the manager never gave him a chance during his three years at Old Trafford.
He said: "I had a nightmare three years under Ferguson.
"I came here as a Spanish international goalkeeper. I wanted to excel and what hurts the most is that Ferguson never gave me a chance.
"He stole my dreams, he destroyed my United career and I am furious with the way he treated me on a professional level. That's bad management.
"I came to United full of dreams and, without any explanation, it was all snatched away.
"If I had been given, say, 10 games and been poor, I'd keep my mouth shut. But that never happened."
In an interview with the News of the World he added: "Yes, if you sign for one of the biggest clubs in the world the money is great.
"But I would have accepted half the money for a fair chance of a starting place.
"Ferguson was so unfair to me. I never played. I had shown I was a keeper of the highest level with Atletico Madrid, Valladolid, Racing Santander and with Spain.
"I have nothing against Roy Carroll and Tim Howard but I wonder how many caps they would get with the Spanish team?
"They dropped one clanger after another and cost the club trophies.
"Yet they were both given chance after chance by Ferguson, while I wasn't.
"Ferguson refused to give me a go, even if it meant the team was stuck with two goalkeepers who were not up to it.
"Neither of them played well and Ferguson did NOT have a keeper he could trust.
"A coach should make full use of all his resources but that didn't happen in my case.
"There are times I regret ever joining United."
