Tottenham defender set for returnSpurs defender Anthony Gardner is hoping to be fit to return from injury for this weekend’s FA Cup fifth round match against Fulham.
"I should be alright for the weekend," said Gardner.
"I thought I had a dead leg after the Manchester United game, but it didn't settle down and it turned out to be a small strain.
"It is only a minor thing though and I am working hard to try to be alright for Sunday. Fingers crossed, at the minute it looks like I will be.
"It was a little bit annoying, but the main thing is it was nothing long-term.
"These things happen, you play tough games and you can pick up a knock that keeps you out for a game.
"I've been feeling good recently and will hopefully have the chance of playing a few more games."
