Stubbs out to wreck the partyEverton defender Alan Stubbs has promised to bring Rafael Benitez’s Champions League heroes crashing to earth.
The Goodison captain is out to deny Liverpool fourth spot by bringing the curtain down at Goodison Park with a win over Newcastle tomorrow.
Stubbs, who will be hoping Arsenal beat Liverpool on Sunday, said: “It’s coming to the crunch.
“We have got a big game and we know that if results go our way, we can clinch what we have been striving for.
“It has become clear fourth place is within our own hands, but in the past few weeks Bolton, Liverpool and ourselves have all dropped points.
“If things go our way, we have a great chance of putting things to rest.”
