Spurs star keen to proveFormer Liverpool and Charlton midfielder Danny Murphy is looking to prove his worth at Tottenham having finally broken into the starting line up at the club.
He said: "It's always nice to play reasonably well because I am trying to establish myself in the team but I'd rather have an average performance and get a result because at the moment we need one,"
"Of course it is unfortunate we have had injuries which may have given me my opportunity but that is football and now I have to take it.
"I am trying to show the gaffer that I am worthy of a regular place.
"It is a bit naive to think you can play every single game because of the amount of games and the amount of players we have in our squad but I am really enjoying it."
