Spurs injury blow confirmedTottenham central defender Anthony Gardner could be sidelined for up to two months with a torn thigh muscle.
After he sustained the tear during Saturday's 1-1 draw at Aston Villa, head coach Martin Jol told the club's website: "It's a huge blow to the 25-year-old after he'd started every game so far this season,
"Anthony is probably going to be out for a couple of months.
"Hopefully it will be six or seven weeks but the doctor thinks it's quite a bad one."
Tottenham's head of medical services Dr Charlotte Cowie said: "It's quite a serious injury, not one that requires surgery, but one that needs to settle down and heal properly before we can strengthen it."
