Spurs could land WC star this weekReports are today suggesting that Spurs boss Martin Jol is ready to step up his pursuit for Argentinean World Cup defender Roberto Ayala.
Ayala, 33, has publicly admitted his wish to leave the Mestalla this summer and is keen on a quick move to a more competitive team according to his agent Gus Macardi.
Macardi said: "A quick solution would be best for all parties."
Jol has recently been linked with Australian international Lucas Neill of Blackburn Rovers but it seems as though the move for Ayala would be the perfect one for the club as he has the experience and would be available for a cut price fee.
