Southgate rejects £12million Toffees, Spurs rumours

Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate has rejected any reports suggesting that he was willing to listen to offers for winger Stewart Downing.

Southgate said: "Stewart is definitely not for sale, so other clubs would be wasting their time even considering making an offer.

"The idea we would want to sell the likes of Stewart is way off target."

Tottenham and Everton are the clubs that have been linked.
