Sir Alex happy with Roma drawManchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted his excitement to have been drawn against Serie A side Roma in the Champions League quarter-finals.
"We have never played Roma before, so it is new," said Ferguson.
"That is the great excitement in Europe. You play teams you have never played before."
He added: "We respect their last result (against Lyon). They have some great players like De Rossi and Mancini,"
When asked about the chances of going all the way in the competition this season he replied: "Obviously we do not look beyond this game.
"We must concentrate on this game and we are looking forward to it."
Ferguson has also confirmed that talks are underway with Cristiano Ronaldo about a new contract.
