Rovers star happy with managerial reportsAustralian international flanker Brett Emerton says he is happy with the reports linking Dutch manager Dick Advocaat with the national team.
Emerton said: "If it is Dick Advocaat who takes over, then good because I’ve heard many positive things about him and I think he would continue on the way we played at the World Cup,”
"But, I think it needs to be sorted out and soon, so we all know where we are going. The quicker resolved, the quicker we can make plans."
"The Dutch way of playing is a style and a method the boys are used to and like, so it would be nice to hear for sure that it is going to be Advocaat."
"I’ve never met him but his reputation speaks for itself - it would be good to work with him. Guus Hiddink did nothing but great things for the Socceroos, he’s a giant in world football and a fantastic coach. Hopefully Dick Advocaat, if it is to be him, can take us even further in the future."
"Guus puts us on the map. The test now is to make sure we don’t slip backwards. That’s why we need a foreign coach who has experience and know-how."
"If we continue on with a Dutchman then it only helps matters because they have a positive mentality and play in an attractive style - a style that also gets results."
