Ronaldo apologises

Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo has apologised for his one- finger salute to Benfica fans.

He said: "I was over the top because I was hot-headed. I never wanted to disrespect anyone but I didn't stop to think.

"I hope Benfica now go as far as possible."
