Portuguese stars fit and ready

Portugal have received some pleasing news on the injury front by confirming that Fulham striker Luis Boa Morte and Benfica's Nuno Gomes are fit and ready to start in their opening match against Angola in Köln.

The Portugal team confirmed: "We have no muscle injuries, no players with muscle complaints,"

"The preventative programme for injuries has worked up until now. We are very pleased with that."
