Parker urged to leave the BridgeScott Parker has been urged by former team-mate Mario Melchiot to join him at Birmingham City.
Melchiot told The Sunday Mirror: "I don't have one regret about leaving Chelsea for this club, and I will tell him he won't have any regrets either,
"You can't compare the two clubs in terms of stature these days, but he will enjoy his football here.
"He is a very good player and he would be welcome.
"Scott must be gutted not to be playing more for Chelsea, so I wouldn't blame him if he moved on.
"He made his name playing every week for Charlton and won an England cap at that time too, so it won't harm his international hopes if he joins Birmingham.
"He would be playing regular Premiership football for a progressive club.
"It's up to Scott of course, but if I were him I'd have a good long think about moving."
