O'Neill pleased with troopsAston Villa manager Martin O'Neill has revealed his satisfaction with his team and admitted that he thought they should have left Upton Park with all the points.
He said: "I think so (should have won) we had some great chances,"
"When we got in front we had some great chances which would have put us in a strong position, but we were unable to do that.
"In the second half we probably deserved to win the game, but West Ham were at home and they put us under pressure which I thought we coped pretty well with.
"Possibly we were getting tired in the last ten minutes or so, but overall I am really pleased with the team."
O'Neill praised the performance of new signing Stilian Petrov saying: "I thought he was magnificent, absolutely magnificent considering it was his debut and it was in The Premiership which he had not played in before,"
"He is a class player and he kept going and he almost capped a wonderful debut with a goal which was only centimetres from going over line."
