New signing ‘loves’ NewcastleFull-back Olivier Bernard has expressed his joy at being given a second chance to represent Newcastle United.
He said: "It is a good opportunity for me because I love Newcastle. Now my aim is to play well for the first team again.
"I would say I am not as fit as I would like to be at the moment in terms of match fitness.
"I still need a couple more games, but in two weeks or so, I should be at the same level as everybody else.
"I don't know if I will be involved against Fulham - I will leave that to the manager.
"I am going to work hard over the next few days, and hopefully I will be in the squad."
