Morrison heads for crunch talksBirmingham striker Clinton Morrison is facing crunch talks with Birmingham next week over his future.
The Brum star has admitted that he would be broken-hearted to leave but fears that his World Cup chances with Eire could be jeopardised unless he starts to play more regularly in the Premiership.
Morrison has lost his place to Walter Pandiani and admitted: “I just want to have my chance to show what I can do.
“I want to be playing more. I am not one of these guys who just sits there and collects his wage packet and is happy with it. No, I want to be out there playing.
“Steve Bruce says he wants me to sign and that I am a part of his plans.
“I love Birmingham and I want to stay but it is important for me to be playing at this time in my career.
“In the summer I’ll have a decision to make. International football is important to me as well now.
“It is going great with Ireland and there is a chance to play in the World Cup. But if you are not playing regularly then the manager has a right to drop you.”
