McCarthy thrilled with debut season

South African hit-man Benni McCarthy has expressed his happiness with how well his debut season at Blackburn Rovers has gone.

The 29-year-old said:  “I’m close to the targets I set myself but once I get there I’m not going to stop.

“I really can’t complain about the way things have gone for me this season, an absolute joy.”
